Footprints Of Lord Krishna,Vrindavan Somnath Assam

The footprints of Lord Rama and Krishna  are found in India.

Lord Rama’s is found near Rameswaram and in some other places.

Lord Krishna‘s are found in Vrindavan,Asvakranta (Assam) and in Asvakranta temple in Assam.

The legends associated with these places seem to be in agreement with the Puranas.

According to the locals there is the impression of Krishna’s left and right footprints at this place. It is said that Krishna was playing His flute at this place and that the hill started to melt. The impressions of Krishna’s footprints could then be seen on the stone here. It has been told that Lord Caitanya, Lord Nityananda, Advaita Acarya, Madhavendra Puri, Madhvacarya, Vallabhacarya and the Goswamis have come to this place to have darshan of Krishna’s footprints.

Lord Shiva is worshipped during the Sravana month


Lord Shiva is worshipped during the Sravana month. The importance of worshipping Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan has been mentioned in the Rigveda. A huge crowd can be seen on the first Monday of the Sawan month in temples devoted to Lord Shiva. The devotees of Lord Shiva worship him according to their faith and devotion. Everyone is involved in worshipping Lord Shiva. Devotees bring water filled pots from from far away places to do jalabhishek of the lord.

In 2014, the month of shravan will commence on 13th July. There are certain dates prescribed for Kanwariya, that is considered to be auspicious dates to begin their journey. Worshipping Lord Shiva and fasting on the mondays of the sawan month is said to be very fruitful

Puja for Sawan Mondays
This fast is commenced on the first Monday of Sawan. On this day, the head of the family should wake up early in the morning, clean the house, take a bath and sprinkle the ganga jal for the purity of the house. After that, the observer should establish the idol of Lord Shiva in the north east corner of the house. Lord Shiva is worshipped along with his entire family, including Lord Ganesha, Lord Kartikeya, Goddess Parvati, Nandi Deva and Nag Deva on this day.

Water, milk,curd, sugar, ghee, honey, panchamrit, clothes, sacred thread, sandalwood, rice, fruits, flowers, belpatra, datura, lotus, cloves, cardamom etc are offered to the idol of the lord while performing puja. On this day aarti is performed with dhoop and diya.

After performing the puja, the observer should have only one time meal. A person who fasts in the month of sawan gets relief from all sufferings and troubles in life. He attains happiness and prosperity. Sawan fasting is performed from the sunrise till the sunset. The observer should listen to Somwaar Vrat Katha and eat only after the sunset.

Significance of Sawan Mondays
It is believed that the month of Sawana is very dear to Lord Shiva. People observe fast on every monday of shravan month and worship Lord Shiva with enthusiasm and faith. According to the ancient belief, those who perform monday fasting is blessed with happiness and all the pleasures of the world. His all the desires are fulfilled. Donation and charity made on this day gives fruits equivalent to that of visiting Jyotirlinga.

People have their own purpose to observe this fast. Some observe it for long life, happy married life or for happiness and prosperity of children. Sawan Somvar Fast provides wealth, luxury and increase in generation. Lord Shiva is worshipped with Belpatra on this day as it is believed that Lord Shiva resides in the roots of bel patra. Hence, this puja provides the results equal to any pilgrimage visit.

How Sita Was Moved In Sri Lanka Ramayana Sites

We are aware that Sita was abducted by Ravana to Sri Lanka bt the Pushpaka Vimana, a Flying Saucer like Flying Chariot.

What route did Ravana take while kidnapping Sita and how did he move her in Lanka?

As far as I could check information as to how Sita was abducted is limited Ravana taking her in Pushpak Vimana and later fighting with Jatayu  and reaches Lanka, in Valmiki Ramayana.( Corrections to this  welcome with slokas).

Ravana impriosed Sita in Asokavana. Ashoka Vatika, Asoka Van where Sita was imprisoned.

But Buddhist Legends of Lanka give a detailed description about how Sita was moved in Lanka.
