Yantrodharaka Hanuman idol was installed by sriVyasarajteerth, rajguru of Vijaya Nagar king srikrishnadevaraya 1509-1529. It is located near by bank of the Tungabhadra river and 2 km away from Virupaksha temple, Hampi. According to most of the historians,
1) This temple is said to be the place where SriRam & Hanuman had met for the first time during Ramayan period.
2) Among the 732 Hanuman idol installation, this is the first installation.
3) A portion of Tungabhadra river which flows in this divine land is known as ‘Chakrateertha’.
