Sun God, Surya Bhagwan :

Chhath , an ancient Hindu festival and only Vedic Festival dedicated to the Hindu Sun God, Surya and Chhathi Maiya (ancient Vedic Goddess Usha. The Chhath Puja is performed in order to thank Surya for sustaining life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes.

We know surya putra (twin) Asvini Kumars but the founder of Inca civilization of South America (now stands vandalized and destroyed by catholic Spaniards) is believe to be the son and daughter of Sun god Inti.

In one myth, Manco Cápac was a son of the sun god Inti and Mama Quilla, and brother of Pacha Kamaq. Manco Cápac himself was worshipped as a fire and a Sun God. According to the Inti legend, Manco Cápac and his siblings were sent up to the earth by the sun god and emerged from the cave of Pacaritambo carrying a golden staff, called tapac-yauri. Instructed to create a Temple of the Sun in the spot where the staff sank into the earth, they traveled to Cusco via underground caves and there built a temple in honour of their father Inti.At Titicaca Lake of Peru there is island dedicated to Sun and Moon.

Ancient Indonesian Mythology (Dayak religion) too believed- Sun as the ‘Father’ / Founder of their tribe..
