FRAUD OF BRITISHERS ON HINDU’S !!!
FALSE SOMNATH TEMPLE GATES …………Hindus were temporarily hoodwinked by Britishers to think that sandalwood gates of somnath were :
1. Taken by Mohammd Gazni in 1024 .
2. The gates were attached to the building covering Mahmuds tomb at Ghazni .
3. Britishers Attacked and brought back it fo Agra in 1842.
This ruse was to find acceptability amongst the indian princess and public as positive response to the British rule …. but failed.
The gates were uprooted and brought back in triumph. But on arrival, they were found to be of Egyptian workmanship and not associated in any way with India. So they were placed in a store-room in the Agra Fort under the aegis of Archaeological Survey of India , and possibly by now have been eaten by white ants.
